Uppsala’s world-class floorball rink, Relitahallen, is located 500 metres from Arenahotellet, with a full-size 100x65m playing surface with ice. The rink has a seating capacity of up to 300 people and is approved for games. Both professional and younger athletes practice and compete here, including Danmarks IF, GH Bandy, IFK Uppsala, IK Sirius Ungdomsbandy, Unik Bandy, Uppsala BoIS and Wattholma Tensta BF. The rink opened in 2011 and is owned by Bandyalliansen.
Relitahallen is available for floorball matches from September to March, with specific hours during the week for public use. The rink has a parents room, a heated, enclosed space with panoramic windows of the ice rink where friends and family can comfortably watch practices and games.
For the younger visitors, there are SkridskoDisco and BandyKul, a skating school for children between 6 and 9, which is funded by the Folke Bennboms fond amongst others. Games with pucks are not allowed in Relitahallen.
During the ice-free season, the rink can be booked for other types of events. Relitahallen has hosted Yrkes-DM and Cykelkul for children aged 3 to 8, which is an event for children to learn to ride a bike and move safely in traffic.
If you are attending an event at Relitahallen, Arenahotellet is a very comfortable option. In addition to its close proximity to the rink, the hotel is also close to ICA Heidemstams torg, Willys and the Gränbystaden shopping centre, just in case you forgot something at home.
